Hey there! My name is Randy and I’m a
songwriter. (Ok, this is where everybody
collectively says, “Hello Randy” ). I am originally
from North Little Rock, Arkansas. I moved to
Nashville in January of 2002. I’m not sure where
I got the courage to think I was anywhere good
enough to write music for money, but I loaded up
the truck and moved to Tennessee. No
swimming pools or movie stars in this sitcom,
just 6 years of hard work to try to make a career
out of something I love to do. I arrived in town
and quickly realized that I needed to develop my
skills. So I went out and did the rounds at
writer’s nights at places like “the Broken Spoke”
and “the Bluebird Café”. Along the way, I made
some great friends and learned how to write a
commercial song. Well, here I am 6 years later
and I’m FINALLY starting to make some real
progress. A mixture of a little talent, hard work,
determination and a whole lot of luck is paying
off. I have been fortunate enough to have a few
of my songs recorded by other people. From that
success my publishing company was born, Bar
Frog Music.
